About the dance village
The Dance Village is located at Kibbutz Gaaton in the Western Galilee, near Israel's northern border. The Dance Village is the home of the internationally acclaimed Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company, the KCDC International Dance Center and The Dance and Ballet School, offering a four year college program.
In addition to its education programs, the Dance Village facilities are devoted to accommodate events, meetings, conferences and festivals in a broad spectrum of dance-related topics.
An international center
The Village is a leading project of global standards that will attract a great many lovers of culture from Israel and abroad to the Galilee. It will be instrumental in transforming the Western Galilee into Israel's cultural haven of dance, music, theater and plastic arts, and will further cement Israel's reputation in the world of art.
Education
The Dance Village will teach movement and dance to the very young, as well as offer academic studies for teachers, artists and dancers.
Tourism
The Village's location in the quintessential tourist area of the Western Galilee will be another source of attraction for art and culture lovers and will contribute to furthering tourism in the Galilee.
The Galilee community
The Dance Village, which is located in the heart of the mixed population of Western Galilee, will promote coexistence between ethnic and religious groups. Through dance encounters, the Village will serve the cultural needs of the local population.

Collage Degree Program
KCDC announced an exciting, new, four-year College Dance Degree Program, directed by the highly acclaimed Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company.
We offer students an unparalleled opportunity to rediscover themselves as dancers, artists and human beings.
Housed in the spacious studios of KCDC Dance Center in the "Galilee Dance Village" campus in Northern Israel, the Degree Program provides comprehensive education in Dance. As part of the studies, there are also specialized courses in Dance History and Music.
The dance curriculum emphasizes Ballet as its foundation language, complimented with extensive training in past and current forms of modern dance, ethnic dance studies, improvisation and composition. It also includes extensive studies of works by Rami Be'er, as well as works of contemporary artists from within the Israeli vibrant dance community and from abroad.
The dance program gives students the unique opportunity to work closely with the company. Students are able to observe and experience professional choreographers as they are creating new works.
The KCDC Dance Program strives to develop dancers of exceptional skill and artistry. Students acquire the skills and knowledge necessary for a professional career in today's dance world.
